Heil Hamas!

I know it gets really old making comparisons with the Nazis, but there’s been some ominous language from the mouth of Mr. Abbas of the Palestinian Authority that we just can’t ignore. Yet, most nations do ignore the maniacs populating the world stage right now, while continuing to call Israel “apartheid.” What’s going on here? WHY DO THE BAD GUYS GET THE PASS? 

It has now been reported that the Palestinian Authority (recently reconciled with Hamas) has declared that there will be/ must be no Jews in the new state of Palestine. The term Hitler used was Judenrein, which we loosely translate as “free of Jews.” Really, though, it should be properly translated as “clean of Jews.” But we wouldn’t want to ascribe any nasty Hitlerian genocidal sentiment to the peace-loving Palestinians, now would we? The poor underprivileged Palestinians hold the mantle of “underdogs” in the world community, so they can basically be as mean-spirited and downright nasty as they please! 

The great irony is that the Jewish people have been history’s greatest underdogs, not only suffering under anti-Semitic Christian Europe, and being humiliated for centuries under Islamic rule, which made them second-class citizens, but having been official “outcasts” in ancient times as well. 

How many realize that even the ancient Roman Empire was swarming with anti-Jewish sentiment? “The Senate is full of Jews!” declared one irate Roman official. Others charged the Jews with behaving “like millionaires” with their extravagant Sabbath meals and lamp-lighting (the ancient equivalent of Sabbath candles) – clearly a waste of precious oil! And speaking of the Sabbath, they’re slothful and lazy, for devoting one day in seven to idleness. Shame! 

Yet, in spite of all the persecution – mainly deriving from plain old JEALOUSY – Jews not only survived (they should have “gone the way of the dodo”!) but thrived. Israel as a state is unquestionably strong today, in spite of being surrounded by 21 hostile Arab nations bent on its destruction. Oh yes, Egypt and Jordan officially made peace with the Jewish state, but the peace with Egypt is most likely “history,” and Jordan, now unstable itself, can hardly be counted on. Still, Israel hangs in there, and while the world is reeling from catastrophic recession, the economy of Israel is thriving!

That’s why the world hates the Jewish state. They’re just not acting like underdogs anymore. So let’s cut them down to size! Forty-five miles is too wide for the Jewish state; let’s reduce the borders to NINE. And as for half a million Jewish settlers living in “occupied” Arab land. Well, they shouldn’t have settled there to begin with! The new state of Palestine will be Judenrein! “Heil Hamas!”
